- I'm an associate professor in the Sociology Department at Saginaw Valley State University located in University Center, Michigan. I primarily teach Global Cultures, Statistics, and Environmental Sociology. I am very interested in engaged research and am a founding member of the Green Cardinal Initiative and regularly take groups of students to China. My research involves food, agriculture, and inequality.
What about roofers and landscapers? I'd think in warmer weather they would get pretty fried doing manual labor in heat all day. Mechanic shops also aren't air-conditioned and those guys work up a pretty good sweat putting tires on, etc. I always figured the Gatorade was aimed at people with those tough jobs.
