While I am not typically a fan of Fox news, this is an interesting article about the efforts that some faculty are making to create study abroad trips that push students outside their comfort zone. In particular for American students, I think it is easy to create an American cultural space while traveling abroad by interacting only with other students, spending time at American restaurants, and sticking to tour buses and locations heavy with tourists. I want my trips to pop that American bubble. Anyway, here is a link to the article.
